Since the introduction of Windows 11, Windows users had mixed feelings about the new UI elements, the centered start menu, the new Mica effect and the WinUI design. That was back in 2021.
It is March of 2023 now, and after a huge number of updates, Windows 11 has refreshed itself internally- well, kinda. In this post I will go over some of the changes and improvements Windows has had, since its first release.
1. The Search Bar
2. Tabbed File Explorer
Our good old File Explorer had originally received a fresh coat of paint with the fluent command bar, but now, we have full-on tabbing functionality, which is really useful for managing multiple folders in a single window.
3. Bluetooth Flyout
With the newer versions of Windows 11, we can now pair and connect to specific devices through a new flyout, which is a huge time saver, now that you don't have to go to Settings, and waste time...4. Mica effect in Microsoft Edge
With newer versions of Edge, we get mica effects on the titlebars, context menus and backgrounds, keeping it flush with the UI of Windows 11.
5. New Task Manager
6. New splash screens for Office 365 apps
With Beta versions of Microsoft 365 Office, new splash screens now appear.7. Redesigned Office Apps
8. Redesigned MS Paint
The beloved and legendary Microsoft Paint has made it's return to Windows 11, with a fresh coat of paint.
9. New Start Menu Customizations
10. Settings pins
There are quick access tiles on top of the Settings app now.
Overall, the experience has been really polished, like way better than how it used to be. I have really enjoyed the past month, and getting to run games once again is something i truly enjoyed!
