Microsoft launched Windows 11, the next big update to Windows 10, on June 24th, 2021. It was first opened for Insiders, and early adopters who wanted to join the train of people wanting to experience the new features, and the rather clean UI which Microsoft proudly showed off during their event. But the slight issue was, Windows, in spite of getting a massive overhaul, wasn't consistent enough, to the point where people like me, switched back to Windows 10 (I completely switched to macOS).
and what's more, they've worked on a completely redesigned setup screen, matching the Fluent UI of Windows 11. And in my opinion, it looks gorgeous and home.
Windows 10 had already been lacking consistency, because of the sheer fact that not everything was facelifted to match the remaining UI. We had menus which looked like they were straight out of Windows 7, while some icons looked like they were left untouched since Windows 98.
Windows 11 attempted to fix all of this, by updating the core apps, like Notepad, Paint and Terminal. But they still lacked that consistency, which is exactly what Rectify11 attempts to solve!
Rectify11 Team is led by famous Windows hacker FireCube, who along with their team, worked on this project. Rectify11 has a lot of perks, and after a lot of modding and tweaking, have achieved what they say is consistent. And I won't lie, they've really nailed it.
For example,
Dark Mode
Dark Mode is much more consistent thanks to the awesome work done by the Rectify11 team. It looks more modern and home among the updated UI, making it more comfortable and neat.Modern Desktop
Core desktop modules have been updated to match the look and feel of Windows 11's 'Fluent Design', featuring a cleaner taskbar, cleaner title-bars, and a gorgeous new 'winver' command box.
All New Look
They have worked on transforming legacy win32 applications and services to make them look much more similar to the remaining Windows 11 Fluent UI, for the sake of consistency.
So far, the Rectify11 experience has been 10/10 for me, and I really look forward to what the team plans on doing with it, in the future.
